Granada Spoken Word.

Filmed in Granada, Andalucia, poem from the book entitled ‘Tedium.’

The work comes from one evening after work being stood on the roof of the apartments I lived in. I watched the day drawing to an end as dusk dovetailed day to night.

It struck me at such moments of calm the atmosphere takes on human like qualities and we in turn, when recovering from a long day occupy our time with tedious or pleasurable actions, filing our twilight hours as the dusk does the town.

It’s a repetitive pattern, anticipations of pleasures to come, mundane and everyday rewards.

Like appetites, no sooner satisfied, swell again, steadily as the dark will after the sun leaves for distant hirizons.
