There are many people in this world that due to low self-esteem find it hard to know their true value or true potential, it’s these individuals (that could be the majority) that risk entering a toxic relationship, meeting someone who will use that lack of confidence against them, stopping them from taking flight.
Sometimes this comes from their own insecurities and sometimes simply because they know if their partner spreads their wings, they will likely realize how impoverished their relationship was and fly away, never to return.
