It takes eight minutes
for light after leaving the sun,
to reach earth.
four hundred and eighty
seconds, give or take a few.
But it can take a million
years for light born at the
core of our star to reach
it's surface.
Sometimes the morning
sun upon my skin,
is older than the
stone beneath my feet.

I enjoyed this poem and observation… Maybe we too are ancient Beings… Who are merely resting our feet for a brief moment in time… enjoying the Sun warm our skin-suits … As we experience our Emotional bodies within the physical.. 🙂
